Tonight was a big, two hour party on the Biggest Loser scale that brought a lot of laughs, a ton of tears, and overall a great celebration.
At the beginning of the show we got to see a recap of Roger and Mark’s time at the ranch as we waited to find out who America voted to be in the final three. Roger states that he loves America, loves the show and thinks it is great that America is deciding. Mark says that this twist is exciting, and that without the twists in the game, he would not be standing there now.
Finally it is revealed that by approximately 100,000 votes that Roger has won America’s vote to be the third finalist. Roger left the stage and Mark took a seat to wait for the contestants that had been voted out of the house.
We are reintroduced to the contestants as they come out dressed to the nine’s and ready to strut their stuff.
Daughter and father team: Jenni & Lynn
Husband and wife team: Amanda & Neil
Mother from the mother and daughter team: Bette-Sue
Husband and wife team: Mallory & Curtis
Best friends team: Jenn & Maggie
Mother and son team: Jackie & Dan
Former football teammates: Trent
Strangers team: Bernie & Brittany
Brother team: Jay & Mark
Unfortunately Paul was very sick, too sick to travel but was at home rooting for Kelly.
Before the weigh in Allison asked select contestants questions.
Allison: Mark why was it such an emotional journey?
Mark: At the beginning it was very difficult. The issues with my leg arose. I went home and I got to come back and I realized what an opportunity it is. I had to focus on myself emotionally and mentally to get to the bottom of the reasons why I was so fat. I shed a lot of weight and I shed a lot of tears.
Allison: Bernie, was it about the money for you?
Bernie: No one really goes on the show saying, ‘Hey I can’t wait to win the money.’ The reason people go on the show is to change their lives and make a difference. We have all won.
Allison: Bette-Sue, who is more nervous?
Bette-Sue: We are clones. I hope I can grow up and be just like Ali.
Allison: Curtis, you came on the show for a specific reason correct?
Curtis: Yes to qualify for health insurance. Need to weigh 238 pounds or less.
When the contestants weigh in the results are shocking.
(starting weight - ending weight = total weight loss)
Jenni: 267 - 213 = 54 and 20.22%
Lynn: 400 - 329 = 80 and 19.56%
Mallory: 217 - 152 = 65 and 29.95%
Curtis: 381 - 231 = 150 and 39.37%
Amanda: 204 - 140 = 64 and 31.37%
Neil: 317 - 229 = 88 and 27.76%
Bette-Sue: 261 - 186 = 75 and 28.74%
Jenn: 254 - 190 = 64 and 25.2%
Maggie: 239 - 169 = 70 and 29.29%
Jackie: 246 - 157 = 89 and 36.18%
Dan: 310 - 174 = 136 and 43.87%
Trent: 436 - 301 = 135 and 30.96%
Bernie: 283 - 153 = 130 and 45.94%
Brittany: 221 - 164 = 57 and 25.79%
Jay: 293 - 190 = 103 and 35.15%
Mark: 285 - 156 = 129 and 45.26%
Yay for Bernie! No one thought in the beginning that the little guy would end up winning $100,000 prize for being the contestant who was sent home to become the Biggest Loser.
Finally to the big prize. We got to look in on the finalists once they were back at home. Ali had a hard time staying away from the frozen yogurts in the middle of the night. She was giving 80% at first, couldn’t do 100%. Roger dealt with his first plateau and got frustrated at his lack of weight loss. Kelly started having severe back pain and ended up visiting the doctor and finding out that she had a herniated disc in her back and was advised to quit working out so hard.
Eventually though the finalists figured it out and were able to get back on track. Roger figured out what he needed to do and started losing the weight again. Kelly learned exercises that would allow her to work around her back injury and was thrilled to see the pounds keep falling off. Ali started training like a world class athlete and was determined to become the first female Biggest Loser.
And at last…it was time for the finalists to weigh in. Because she was the Biggest Loser at the last weigh in on the ranch Ali got to pick the order. She decided that Roger would go first since both Kelly and herself had earned their spots, and that Kelly would go second. The results were astounding.
(starting weight - ending weight = total weight loss)
Roger: 363 - 199 = 164 and 45.18%
Kelly: 271 - 162 = 109 and 40.22%
Ali: 234 - 122 = 112 -and 47.86%
Ali did it! As she stated when she originally left the house, and then stated several more times, Ali became the first female Biggest Loser in five seasons of the American version of the show. The confetti fell, the celebration began, and a new era has begun. Until the next season of Biggest Loser begins, eat smart, be healthy and love yourself enough to care.

On the April 8th episode of The Biggest Loser, you might have noticed that Mark’s prize for winning that week’s challenge was several weeks of a Biggest Loser Meal Plan.
“[The Biggest Loser meal plan] has a direct effect on my positive weight loss!” Mark has been quoted as saying. “I could not have achieved the weight loss at home that I have without it, and it is part of my success. That is the truth… never mind the fact that it is all incredibly tasty and well put together. I love this plan and would recommend it to everyone who is serious about a lifestyle change.”
And now he literally can recommend it to everyone, as the plan is now available for home purchase by viewers. The doctor-developed gourmet meals, created in conjunction by doctors, nutrition specialists and Bistro MD, include such delicious and healthy meals as blackened tilapia, omelets, stuffed chicken breast, and even black bean soup.
Interested? Here’s how the plan works: Three meals per day arrive at your doorstep, ready to reheat, five days out of the week. The meals (all prepared according to kosher standards, by the way) are flash frozen and vacuum sealed to preserve freshness, nutrients, and flavor. The meals, which are all made with the finest ingredients, can be tailored to suit your dining preferences and/or dietary restrictions.
The Biggest Loser meal plan can be ordered by visiting www.biggestlosermealplan.com or calling 1-866-939-DIET(3438). The cost of the plan is US$99.95 per week for five days of meals.
See how The Biggest Loser meal plan works by tuning in tonight (April 15th) for the season finale of the Biggest Loser Couples season. All of this season’s contestants will be back for a final weigh-in. One of the previously-eliminated contestants will receive the $100,000 Biggest Loser At Home prize. The final three contestants are Ali, Kelly, and either Mark or Roger (the winner of viewers’ online vote will also be revealed tonight), and one of them will take home the title of The Biggest Loser, along with a prize of $250,000.
This just in!: Get the skinny on the Loser experience from the winner him-or-herself on The Ellen Degeneres Show. The winner of this season’s The Biggest Loser will make an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Friday, April 18th. Check your local listings for time and channel. Whether you love it or hate it, one thing’s for sure about it: reality TV gets people talking. That’s part of the fun of watching the shows — discussing the episodes of the past week and predicting what will happen in the week ahead. Another sure thing about reality TV: Our writers are watching. And we’re talking. And, yes, we’re predicting, too. We’ve asked our writers to make their predictions about the week ahead for your favorite shows (and ours, too!). Here’s what they said:
Joe, on American Idol:
1. Expect another elimination shocker for the second week in a row. Not quite as big a shocker as Michael Johns, but close.
2. Ryan Seacrest will offer up some type of apology over how he handled Michael Johns’ elimination in an attempt to repair his image with viewers.
3. David Cook will be back to his old self and will once again amaze the judges with a unique performance.
Jen, on Dancing with the Stars:
Okay, so now the obvious eliminations have been made. This week it’s time to make some tough decisions. Everyone who’s left is a pretty darn good dancer. There will still be some griping about trying to keep up with Kristi Yamaguchi, but this week she’ll pull out all stops and nobody will even come close. Probably Marissa will go home this week, while Shannon & Derek will look more like Prom Queen and King than ever (insert Awwww here).
Jen, on The Biggest Loser:
It’s finale week! Have you voted? For the first time ever, fans votes will help decide who could potentially win the big prize. Both guys are on the chopping block. I think fans will accept Mark’s last-minute turnaround of attitude and vote him in, cutting Roger out of the running. That will leave the final three Ali, Kelly, and Mark. Who will win? I predict Ali will take it (man, that girl is TINY now!), although they all deserve it (wouldn’t you agree?).
Jen, on The Bachelor:
Shayne and Matt will grow ever-closer, and he’ll have a hard time concentrating on the fact that there are other girls there. But don’t worry, Robin will make her presence known…and known…and known. Marshanna will let the claws come out this week, and may not survive the rose ceremony because of it.

With only one week away from The Biggest Loser Couples Finale, we have four radically transformed individuals vying for the top three positions in the Finale…with America holding all of the cards.
We already know that America will determine who will be in competition for the big prize, but really, at this point, are any of them losers…I mean winners…No, I meant losers?
Mark opened the show explaining how he and his brother fell below the yellow line and Jay took the bullet for Mark and headed home. You have got to give the brothers credit for being the last “couple” in the game, even though the game shifted from that several weeks ago.
Roger felt the sting of one of the “Band of Brothers” being sent home as well and knew that the road ahead would be challenging as they all headed home to train for the Finale and $250,000.
Kelly, perhaps one of the biggest surprises, flourished when her ex-husband went home and now had a true
