Rob & Big to Release Uncensored Seasons 1&2 DVD

Just in time for the start of the new season, MTV Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment will be releasing Rob & Big: The Complete Seasons 1&2 Uncensored on DVD, January 8, 2008.

Viewers can relive favorite moments from seasons past, such as Rob & Big adopting Meaty and the pair hitting the road for a Mississippi “Big” family reunion. 

The four-DVD set will also include deleted scenes, never-seen-before footage, and commentary by Rob & Big, as well as Jeff Tremaine and Ruben Fleischer. Also, fans can get a glimpse of the “Dirty Girl” music video, the MTV “Cribs” appearance, and even skate tutorials. They don’t call it “bonus features” for nothin’!

Rob & Big airs Tuesdays, 10:30PM ET on MTV (Premiere of Season 3 airs Jan. 8, 2008, same time, same place).

MTV’s Rob & Big Back for Season 3

For those of you who don’t know the storyline, it goes something like this. Skater-dude skates. Skater-dude gets hassled by cops and other skater haters. Skater-dude gets sick of getting hassled. Skater-dude hires body guard. Body guard is big. Body guard is good. Body guard and skater dude become instant buddies. Body guard and skater-dude make a hilarious and engaging odd couple of the 21st Century.

Talented and accomplished skater, Rob Dyrdek, and bodyguard and “skater angel,” Christopher “Big Black” Boykin are the duo in Rob & Big and have taken MTV viewers by storm for two seasons.

Answering the call of viewers’ hearty response to the show, MTV has announced a third season of “Rob & Big,” to premiere Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 10:30PM ET.

Viewers will rejoin Rob & Big at their house (AKA: Three Layers of Heaven), with their unusual “family” — Rob, Big, their bulldog Meaty, and their mini-horse Mini, for 15 new episodes.

We can expect to see Three Layers go into lockdown when something unexpected and unidentifiable is floating in the swimming pool; a “super sweet 14″ birthday party for Meaty; a road trip to a horse show for lucky entrant Mini; and Big teaching Rob what it’s like to go through life a big man (Big, at 6′6″, 416 pounds should know all too well).

Rob & Big airs Tuesdays, 10:30PM ET on MTV.

Rob & Big Season 2 Premieres May 22

MTV’s favorite modern-day odd couple is back as  the network announced
it will premiere season 2 of “Rob & Big” on multiple screens
including MTV, MTV2, MTV.com and iTunes.  Fans can catch even more
offbeat adventures of professional DC Shoes skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek,
his best friend and bodyguard, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin and their
trusty bulldog Meaty in eight new episodes.  To kick off the new
season, the guys welcome an addition to the family… a miniature horse.
Other season highlights include a trip to Mississippi for Big Black’s
family reunion, a time travel adventure that leads them to Montreal and
Rob’s high-stakes bet with fellow skateboarding legend, Steve Berra at
the Tampa Pro 2007 Skateboard Competition.  Giving fans more ways to
watch their favorite shows, the new season will premiere on MTV and
MTV2 on Tuesday, May 22nd at 10:30pm ET/PT  and be available to
download on iTunes.

Rob & Big Renewed For A Second Season On MTV & MTV2

After helping MTV2 achieve its highest rated day in channel history on
Monday, January 15th, Rob and Big, MTV’s breakout hit series, was
picked up for a second season for MTV and MTV2 beginning in Q2 2007 for
8 new episodes.  Created by Jeff Tremaine, one of the creators of MTV’s
“Jackass” and “Wildboyz” series, this reality comedy series stars
professional DC Shoes skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard and
best friend, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin. The show premiered on MTV
and MTV2 in November 2006 and documented the hysterical daily domestic
antics of this unlikely dynamic duo living together in Rob’s Hollywood
Hills home.

Rob & Big Reality Series To Star Professional Skateboarder

Meet MTV’s modern-day odd couple as the network premieres “Rob & Big,” a new reality comedy series starring professional street skateboarder, Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard and best friend, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin.  Premiering Thursday, November 2nd at 10:30PM (ET/PT), MTV showcases the unpredictable daily lives of this unlikely duo living together in Rob’s Hollywood Hills home where they experience the craziness of domestic life.  “Rob & Big” is created by Jeff Tremaine, one of the creators of MTV’s “Jackass” and “Wildboyz” series, as well as both “Jackass” movies.  Fans can get a sneak peek of “Rob & Big” beginning October 26th as MTV, MTV.com and MTV Mobile services debut “Rob & Big: The Prequel” – a five-minute look inside how this dynamic duo came to be.
