Last Comic Standing is going Presidential for its sixth season finale. Presidential nominees John McCain and Barack Obama have taped funny campaign ads that will air during the finale. In addition to the Presidential ads, special guests will include Jon Lovitz, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Joel McHale, Richard Belzer, Steve Schirripa and Last Comic Standing 5 winner Jon Reep.

Last Comic Standing will be awarding five spots to the final showdown tonight. America voted last week, and the final five will be revealed. The winner of the finals will win $250,000 and the title of Last Comic Standing. “No one comes here to lose,” Iliza says, but all of the comics are determined to win.

Last week on Last Comic Standing, two acts were eliminated taking the finalists from a dozen to a lucky 10. Esther Ku and her annoying laugh, and God’s Pottery and their annoying personalities, are gone. Iliza Shelsinger is the winner and the only girl left in the Casa de Comedy.

Tonight on Last Comic Standing, we’ll find out who will continue on to Hollywood. Bill Bellamy hosts the semifinals in true Las Vegas style, complete with dwarf impersonators (I though Elvis was taller!) and show girls. Talent scouts Richard Belzer and Steve Schirippa are on hand to judge the 16 remaining comics, and the audience gives them a standing ovation. They’re ready to laugh!

Now that the Last Comic Standing auditions are over it’s time for the semi-finals to begin. Paris Las Vegas will host the best of the best for two nights of semi-finals that will reduce the 32 semi-finalists down to 12 finalists. The first semi-final round is on Thursday, June 26th where 16 semi-finalists will perform and of those we will have our first set of finalists. On Thursday, July 3rd, the last 16 semi-finalists will perform and we will then have our final set of finalists.

This week on Last Comic Standing, it’s the last week to scout out the raw talent for the semi-finals in Las Vegas. “Only America’s funniest will survive,” host Bill Bellamy says. The winner gets their own Pilot - Honda Pilot, that is, plus fame and fortune. Comedy legends George Wendt and John Ratzenberger are keeping an eye out for funny Southerners, while more Office staff is looking in the midwest.

NBC’s Last Comic Standing has an outstanding cast of talent scouts. Why must they be so abused? They are forced to watch act after act that isn’t even remotely funny, and often doesn’t even pretend to be stand up comedy!
