DEA Reality Series Coming To Spike TV

A new real life reality TV series is coming to Spike TV.  The network has announced an original narrative series called DEA, which will take an inside look at the workings of the Drug Enforcement Agency.  DEA is scheduled to run for six one hour episodes, and the series is being produced by Al Roker Entertainment, Inc. in association with Size 12 Productions.

 “Television viewers will get the same unprecedented access to the inner workings of the DEA as our camera crews – the raids, the risk and the danger,” said Al Roker, executive producer.   “This series is the real deal, exposing elements of illegal drug trade that you could not imagine.  When you watch ‘DEA,’ you will feel like you have gone undercover.”  

The DEA series will focus on a group of Special Agents and Task Force Officers in the DEA Detroit division.  Cameras will follow officers as they risk their lives in the battle against illegal drugs.  Cases profiled will range from street level dealers to international drug traffickers.  DEA will allow viewers to see the dangers that Special Agents encounter as they go on undercover missions to pose as drug dealers.  The series will also look at the relationship between DEA Special Agents and their informants.

DEA premieres Wednesday, April 2 from 11 PM to Midnight ET/PT on Spike TV.
