Jerry Talks to his peeps

America’s Got Talent was involved with another round of auditions as we started our journey in Dallas, Texas, to see if the talent pool was deep enough to fill the casinos in Las Vegas.  As the “Dallas” theme invaded our senses, we got a chance to become reacquainted with last year’s winner from Dallas and everyone in Dallas was confident that Dallas would, yet again yield the AGT winner.  Judges Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff were seated after grand entrances and the carnage began.

America’s Got Talent Heads Into Round Two Of Auditions

June 24, 2008 08:54:47 by DA Southern

Neil

America’s Got Talent was off to a rousing start with some truly incredible talent, including the insurance salesman, Neal E Boyd, the opera singer who had the audience, and the judges, on their feet in the closing segment of last week’s show.  And, oh yes, we love the bad stuff too.  We should all just admit it and be done with it.  We can only hope this week’s auditions will herald us some more to feast our senses on as we continue on that road to Vegas in this week’s rounds of auditions on the hit NBC show, America’s Got Talent.

NBC Brings Back Family Feud…Celeb-Style!

April 18, 2008 07:47:53 by Jennifer_Brown

NBC-LogoIf you’re a fan of resurrected game shows and a star-gazer, NBC has the game show just for you! As part of NBC’s All-American Summer, Celebrity Family Feud will be hitting the air waves, with celebs and their families smacking the buzzers and Al Roker calling out, “Survey says!”

Produced by FremantleMedia North America (of American Idol and America’s Got Talent fame), the show promises to be “…a no-holds-barred, laugh-out-loud series that allows celebrities to be themselves among their family members or among longtime co-stars who have become like family,” said Craig Plestis, Executive VP Alternative Programming for NBC. “Viewers can’t help but play along, and with Al Roker at the helm, it promises to provide high energy, interactive fun…with the bonus of exposing the unscripted side of our favorite celebrities.”

The show will pit four celebrity families against one another, competing to raise money for their favorite charities. Though no word on what celeb clans will be featured on the show, there is word that some will be celebs and their real-life families, while others will feature well-loved nostalgic and current television families (why do I hear the Partridge Family theme song in my head right now?).

The new Feud producers are hoping Celebrity Family Feud will bring them the same primetime success that CBS’s The Price is Right has brought to CBS. “We’re thrilled to once again bring a hugely successful game show format to primetime,” says Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of FremantleMedia North America. “It is one of the handful of game show formats that has stood the test of time and traveled the world successfully. Like ‘The Price Is Right,’ we’re confident this primetime version will resonate with viewers of all ages.”

Celebrity Family Feud premieres Tuesday, July 1st at 8:00 PM (ET) on NBC.
