Idol Sweetheart Kristy Lee Cook Has A Record Deal

The sweet all American girl from the most recent season of American Idol has gone and done it.  She just succeeded in getting her own record deal with the same company that has helped make Carrie Underwood a country megastar, Recordings/Arista Nashville.

The album is rumored to be released in the fall, sometime after David Cook’s album comes out, but fans will not have to wait till then to hear music sung by the pretty blond.  The first single from the album, 15 Minutes of Shame, will be released on August 11 and Kristy Lee Cook will be on tour this summer with the other American Idol finalists.

For Kristy it is a bit of a homecoming since prior to her American Idol days she signed wit the same record company, only to leave them before ever recording a song.  Hopefully this time around she has better luck.
