In a recent conference call with media, Chris Sligh proved to be one of
the most outspoken finalists ever eliminated from the show.  In
addition to claiming that he didn’t want to win American Idol, Sligh
expressed disappointment that the show wouldn’t let him sing his
original songs, play instruments, or blog.

Finalist Learns Poking Fun Of American Idol Can Lead To Hate Mail

One of the things that earned Chris Sligh some early fans was how he
poked fun of the cheesy aspects of American Idol, such as making a
reference to David Hasselhoff crying.  During a recent media conference
call, Sligh revealed that there were unforeseen consequences to poking
fun of Idol.

American Idol Finalist Regrets Shout Out To Vote For The Worst

VoteForTheWorst.com has received much of the credit for keeping Sanjaya
Malkar in the competition, even though American Idol producer Nigel
Lythgoe has compared the site to a fly buzzing around a cow.
Considering how unpopular the website is with American Idol producers,
it was very surprising when one of the American Idol finalists
apparently gave a shout out to the founder of Vote For The Worst on one
of the American Idol performance shows.  After singing “She’s Not
There,” Chris Sligh shouted out “Hi Dave” as Ryan Seacrest was giving
out his phone number, and Dave is the name of Vote For The Worst’s
founder.

Cops Use Sledgehammer To Enter Suspect’s Residence

When a bondsman is unable to take a suspect into custody, he is forced
to use a sledgehammer to enter the suspect’s residence. Officers Joe
Springop and Patrick Boucard of the Wichita Police Department assist.
Also featured is a nervous teenage suspect who attempts to eat a bag of
marijuana before FTO Stephen Fernez of the Brevard County Sheriff’s

Chris Sligh Almost Quit American Idol

American Idol finalist Chris Sligh was not surprised to be voted off
the show.  In regards to his last performance, Sligh said “It wasn’t a
great performance, but honestly, it was not as bad as what the judges
made it seem.  But that’s part of being on the show.  As soon as they
gave me the spanking that they did, I kind of knew that I was going
home.”
