American Idol Top 10 Girls – Melinda Doolittle Impresses The Judges

After last week’s knockout performance by the girls, this week was a
little bit of a letdown.  Don’t get us wrong, many of them were still
unbelievable great (i.e. Melinda Doolittle), but the guys have
definitely narrowed the gap.  However, at this point it is still either
Lakisha Jones or Melinda Doolittle’s competition to lose.

American Idol Guys Prove They Have Talent

Ryan Seacrest kicked off the top ten guys American Idol performance
show by congratulating Jennifer Hudson on her Oscar win.  But Jennifer
Hudson turned out to not be the only winner tonight, as the top ten
American Idol guys rebounded from last week and actually proved that
they are a talented bunch.

Could A Southerner Still Win American Idol 6?

The American Idol 6 top twenty-four contained far fewer contestants
from the South than the past two years, which has led to lots of
speculation that this could finally be the year that a Southerner does
not win American Idol.   However, the decline of Southerners in the top
twenty-four could actually play out to the benefit of the Southerners
who did make it.

Ryan Seacrest More Touchy Feely With American Idol Male Contestants, But Rubs Lakisha The Most

During a recent American Idol performance show, Simon Cowell asked Ryan Seacrest if
he was trying to date one of the contestants.  The question came as the
result of Seacrest heaping some very complimentary praise on American
Idol semi-finalist Alaina Alexander.  Seacrest said that Simon Cowell
didn’t even deserve a response, but afterwards Seacrest grabbed
Alaina’s hands, looked into her eyes, and wished her good luck.

Last Comic Standing To Award $250,000 Prize

NBC will raise the stakes of its Emmy-nominated series "Last Comic
Standing" and award $250,000 to the grand prize winner of the
competition. In addition to the money and the coveted title of "Last
Comic Standing," the winner will also receive an exclusive talent
contract with NBC Universal and their own half-hour comedy special on
Bravo.

Former Americal Idol Contestant Can’t Say Idol Anymore

A little over a week ago, Reality TV Magazine reported on eliminated
top forty American Idol 6 contestant Matt Buckstein’s clever idea to
continue to be part of the American Idol competition.  In a concept
that he originally called “Lost Idol,” he planned to upload videos of
himself singing every week to his MySpace and allow fans to vote and
offer feedback.  However, American Idol legal folks issued a cease and
desist to the bar where Matt Buckstein was performing.  In a very
humorous, heavily bleeped video posted to his MySpace, Buckstein explained how he could
no longer say the word “Idol.”  Reality TV Magazine caught up with
Buckstein and got the inside scoop on the former American Idol contestant that can’t say Idol
anymore.

Goins Family On Supernanny
