Last week, the American Idol 5 girls set the bar high. This week, the American Idol 5 girls tripped over the bar, making several bad song choices. With only a couple of exceptions, most of the girls should be sweating Thursday night eliminations because virtually any of them could be going home.

The episode starts off with Randy showing his girl Kina how to defend herself. After Kina says "I’m worried about Randy leaving," Randy says everyday he’s worried about leaving in the Gauntlet. Aneesa gets a message that the teams are now even, who will step up and tip the balance at tomorrow’s challenge, see you at the court at 4AM. Julie says "We’re on a winning streak, we won two in a row, we’re catching up and really excited to tie this game."

Season four winner Carrie Underwood returns to the AMERICAN IDOL stage this week, nine months after she was crowned the fourth American Idol. Underwood will perform her hit single “Jesus, Take the Wheel” on the results show Thursday, March 2 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). “Jesus, Take the Wheel” spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, while Underwood’s debut album “Some Hearts” is No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart for the 11th straight week.

American Idol the Magazine recently hit newsstands with a list of the Top 45 American Idol contestants. Those who watched the Green Mile episode of American Idol probably remember that only the Top 44 contestants were shown going to the chair in front of Randy, Paula, and Simon. Ryan Seacrest even stated several times that twenty contestants were going to be eliminated, leaving only 24 remaining.

If anyone else were to flagrantly show off their wealth like Donald Trump, it probably wouldn’t make for good television. But Donald Trump is the real life Scrooge McDuck, someone who has so much money it makes you sick, but you can’t help liking him anyway. Donald Trump kicks off The Apprentice 5 by showing off his jet to the new candidates. Trump tells them if you learn how to make a real lot of money then you’re going to have a plane just like this some day.

It was the most romantic Bachelor ever. It was the worst kept secret on The Bachelor ever. Surprising no one, Travis Stork chose Sarah Stone from Tennessee over Moana from California. It was a happy, feel good ending, except for rejected bachelorette Moana’s emotional breakdown in the limousine.

In the NBC premiere of the second run of Deal or No Deal, Donald Trump shows up to advise one of the contestants. Peter Montesanti is doing quite well in the game and has worked himself all the way up to a banker offer of $199,000. Host Howie Mandel then asks Peter if he wishes he had an expert to help him make financial decisions. Donald Trump then walks out to the loud roar of approval from the crowd.

The Celebrity Fit Club 3 winners are Kelly’s Bellies. The two teams competing were Kelly’s Bellies and Ebony Flame. Kelly’s Bellies consisted of Gunnar Nelson, Tempestt Bledsoe, Bizarre, and Kelly LeBrock. Ebony Flame consisted of Chastity Bono, Young MC, Countess Vaughn, and Bruce Vilanch.

The biggest unanswered question from the Dancing with the Stars 2 finale is who actually won the public vote. The way the scoring works is that each couple is assigned a ranking point based on their order of finish in the judges’ scoring and a ranking point based on their order of finish in the public voting. The judges’ score and the public vote ranking points are then combined into one total, and the couple with the lowest combined ranking point total is eliminated. In cases of a tie, the public vote is the tiebreaker.

In a recent conference call with the media about Amazing Race 9, Phil Keoghan spent much of his time essentially apologizing for the Amazing Race Family Edition. Phil stated that “anything new and different is most susceptible to criticism.” Phil repeatedly made comments to the effect of “the race is most successful where it has less faces, more places, where it is teams of two racing around the world.” Phil also acknowledged that “the places are as much a star of the show as the people themselves.”
